In 2015, Oman made the decision to conduct the 2020 Census electronically. TLU provided consultancy services in cooperation with Ernst & Young to the Omani National Centre for Statistics and Information that was looking for advanced data capture methods.
The project elaboration and evaluation of registry data for usage in an e-census in Oman included:

 

• examination of data fields and coverage in databases,

• setting up best routes for data input and linking of databases,

• definition of missing data and possible set-up of new databases

• and evaluation of the compatibility of used classifications to international standards.
